Conditions
- Libyan nationality.
- The account applicant must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid passport.
- National ID number.
- An active mobile phone number and email address.
Requirements
- A clear copy of a valid passport in PDF format.
- A clear copy of the birth certificate in PDF format.
- A clear copy of the residence certificate / proof of university enrollment / or a letter from the employer in PDF format.
Steps to open an account
Procedures
- The customer submits their request to open an account and select a package through the website, and receives a one-time password (OTP) on their mobile phone to verify the accuracy of the entered phone number.
- The team handling online individual account opening requests reviews the applications daily, verifying the accuracy of the provided information and required documents, and cross-checking them with the National ID system as a final verification step. Upon approval, a restricted current account is opened, allowing only credit transactions.
- The team contacts applicants with approved requests to schedule a branch visit to confirm the customer’s eligibility and have them sign the electronically generated account opening form.
- Once the customer signs the form at the branch and deposits the amount for the selected banking package, the debit restrictions on the account are lifted, and the banking package is activated immediately.
- **Note:** If the entered data or attached files are inaccurate, the request will be rejected, and the applicant will receive an SMS notification regarding the status of their request.
- Approved requests will be cancelled by the bank after one month if the customer does not visit the branch to pay for the selected banking package and sign the printed form.
